Nut is designed to allow for a more even clamping surface across the fork leg and also becomes locked in place when the fork pinch bolts are tightened.

Please Note: Torque spec for Nut is 20-22 ft/lbs Over tightening of the axle nut can cause damage to the Right side spacer.
